The Central Goldfields Art Gallery is situated in the picturesque historic fire station built in 1861, a short walk from the CBD.  The gallery presents a varied exhibition program which showcases local and regional artists, and includes touring exhibitions.A selection from the permanent collection is exhibited in the Casey Room. This growing collection includes works by artists of regional and national significance, such as Arthur Boyd, Pro Hart, Dean Bowen and Ray Crooke.

McMurray Gallery (Avoca)

McMurray Gallery specialises in collectible artwork from the late 1800s to the present. On show is a large collection of 19th, 20th & 21st Century Australian Art, including late 1800’s impressionist works by noted Australian artists. Traditional & Contemporary works by 20th, 21st Century local, national and international painters and sculptors.
